What
We Do
North Wiltshire Homelessness
Project was set up by CVS North Wiltshire and The Salvation
Army, Chippenham Corps in 2003 to find out more about single
homelessness in our area.
Further information
on our history
In January 2004 we
opened a drop-in centre for homeless adults at The Salvation
Army's premises in Chippenham town centre providing a hot
meal, laundry facilities, information and one to one support.
We quickly realised that many of our guests have complex needs
such as mental health problems, debts, substance use and educational
needs, which are likely to affect their ability to hold down
a job and a tenancy.

Diary
of a Drop-in Session
As part of a recent
funding application for a Support Worker submitted to Chippenham
Borough Lands Charity, Doorway recorded the diary of a drop-in
session to back up our claim that we don't just serve hot
meals!
