“Doorway,
the drop-in centre for homeless and marginalised adults in
Chippenham, was recently nominated for three awards at the
Wiltshire Health and Wellbeing Partnership Awards.
Over
200 nominations were received by the panel which included
the Chief Executives of Wiltshire Council and NHS Wiltshire.
At
the award ceremony in Devizes on Wednesday, Doorway was shortlisted
for The AstraZenaca Award for ‘Action to reduce health
inequalities in community areas’, and won the award
for ‘Action to prevent alcohol and drug abuse’.
Doorway
is extremely proud to be recognised and commended for our
6 years of commitment to improving the health and wellbeing
of the community’s most vulnerable adults, especially
at a county level by such a prestigious organisation.”
