On Tuesday
23rd January 2007, Doorway hosted the Chippenham Chamber of
Commerce Site Visit.
Doorway
opened its doors to local businesses on Tuesday in order to
raise the profile of the centre within the local business
community.
Although
not as well attended as had been hoped, the visit proved to
be very successful.
Lisa
Lewis, PR & Marketing Officer at Doorway, gave a short
presentation about the project; followed by Margaret Cleverley,
Doorway Manager, hosting a Q&A session and a walk around
the new facilities at the refurbished Salvation Army Hall.
Visitors
were then given a freshly cooked hot meal to show the standard
of food provided for guests at the drop-in centre.
Feedback
was very positive including:-
"
Many thanks for the hospitality shown to Mr Day (Project
Manager) and myself by you and your dedicated staff.
The
Doorway project is a shining example of what can be achieved
by partnership working and I truly hope that your project
goes from strength to strength as it is a much needed asset
to the community,
Kindest
Regards
Mike
