Local businessman, Islay Roberts of Pewsham gets a new look for The Doorway Project

Having had a moustache since his early teens and growing a beard again back in ’99, Islay Roberts took the radical plunge to shave it all off. As well as his family and friends, most of his business contacts had never seen him without.

So was it worth it?

“Raising over £1000 for The Doorway Project was well worth it albeit it’s been cold since. Although I could have taken the easy option and slept out at the end of January, I didn’t feel it challenged me enough and so decided to be radical”

Doorway Project Manager, Lisa Lewis said “I am always amazed at the huge amount of support we receive from the local community and also very impressed by the diverse methods of fundraising!”
