Support Worker / Deputy Manager

Part time: 18 hrs per week
£22,221 pro rata (NJC Pt 26) - short term contract of 3 months initially. Future contracts depend on the funding limitations of the organisation.

The purpose of the post is:

to provide a high standard of support within the drop-in sessions to ensure the smooth and safe running of the service.
to provide practical assistance, befriending and signposting to guests of Doorway with an emphasis on helping guests to move on in their lives.
to advise and assist the Chief Executive with the development of existing services and introduction of new services, activities etc
to deputise for the Chief Executive in the drop-in sessions and meetings as required

The person may be required, quite often, to work alone and will be expected to show initiative. Some flexibility of working hours may be required from time to time

The post will involve working closely with the staff (paid and unpaid) of Doorway in order to ensure a safe welcoming environment for guests and visitors alike.
