Penny has been coming to Doorway with her boyfriend for nearly two years. She is glad of a chance to have a break from the four walls of her flat and finds Doorway a friendly place where she can find support.

Penny lives with her boyfriend in Chippenham and has two sons who live with their dad. She enjoys seeing her boys occasionally and speaks to them on the phone. Penny is currently waiting to get a support worker and is frustrated that this has taken several months because there are things in her life that she would like to deal with.

Penny has participated in the Music and Art courses run by Doorway and found the Words and Pictures workshops really enjoyable. She is a big Liverpool fan and her ambition is one day to learn to drive.

A typical day for Penny includes doing housework, having a drink, going shopping in Chippenham, often in the charity shops because she collects dolphin and horse ornaments, visiting friends and relatives and on Monday and Thursday going to Doorway.
